Using Old E-mail Clients With Modern POP3

Figured I’d make a post about this because I couldn’t find fuck all doing a web search about this. I recently fired up my Mac Quadra 840av tower and tried using the Outlook Express that comes bundled with MS Internet Explorer 4.0 but I discovered that you cannot use the @ symbol in the login field. As most mail servers require the full e-mail as the login, this posed a bit of a problem. I was previously led to believe that the + symbol would work but of course it didn’t. Doing some testing I found that the % symbol is a working replacement for the @ in the login field. This old version of Outlook even supports non-standard mail ports for those of us with residential ISPs who block outgoing SMTP like the fucking cocksuckers they are.

EDIT: the story got media coverage and it looks like this may not actually be the right person. More investigating is in the works.

What happens when you take a picture of your rack using your BlackBerry 9000 phone and then upload it to your Twitter account which happens to have 600,000+ followers? You delete it within minutes and then pretend you were hacked. The Twitter view count on the image was at over 5,000 before being removed which of course gave the online world enough time to archive it forever. For her “hackers” excuse to be valid, the hacker would have had to be within bluetooth range of the phone NOT TO MENTION have her Twitter login and be a master at timing as the EXIF data shows the picture was taken shortly before being uploaded. Nobody is that bored with their life.

It seems our fearless leader has gone ahead and let some US lobbyists assist in exercising his anal cavity as the PMO is now attempting to pass what is being called the most anti-consumer bill ever. Bill C-61 is the Canadian version of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act in the US. I, and many like me, fear that the introduction of this bill will pave the road for bogus takedown notices and corporate bullying. We’ve already had to take it up the ass from the music industry as some of you may recall the “media tax” which was added to blank CDs being sold within Canada, no matter what the customer actually intended to do with the blank CDs. The amount collected was to be paid to recording artists, but really just went to buy private jets for the heads of the Canadian music industry. It was at that moment I decided to stop paying for SOME of the music/movies I wanted to enjoy, but it appears I will be upgrading that to ALL should Bill-C61 pass. I don’t do this to be an asshole, I do it for the satisfaction of knowing that the money I work hard for is not being given to companies which believe the anti-consumer way of doing business is actually getting them anywhere.

…especially it comes as you’re kicking some random dude in the head outside of a night club. A video of the Victoria Police Department is circulating YouTube and Canadian media outlets (you know, the pansy ass liberal cocksucking anti-police ones) which clearly shows the police force but conveniently doesn’t cover the drunk guys assaulting someone else. In pure CBC/CTV fashion, they spin the story to make everyone believe the police just swarmed in and started beating everyone up. SORRY, THAT IS NOT THE CASE. If the police come across you kicking someone in the head, they will intervene. When you are fucking drunk and not obeying commands, they will deal with you accordingly.

One important thing to note is that the guys who got shit kicked are not filing any complaints (probably due to the fact that they are guilty of assault and got off), but it is the mass pussy liberal collection of readers who are stirring the shit. I can’t say I’m surprised but it does aggravate me to the point where I may one day be shit kicking a liberal on the street, only to have the police come save your ass. Probably just in time for you to file a complaint.

Mitchell is a black journalist for the Chicago Sun-Times who recently covered a story about Michael Corrigan, a resident in the area, who decided to voice his opinion about his neighbourhood by placing a message on his garage. He is simply a man proud to be white. It seems that you are only allowed to be proud of your race if you happen to be a minority, as the SECOND you do something like this you are suddenly evil and deserve to have a bunch of apes protesting.
